been considering riding to work and even walking! why i hear you say? what was that, you don't give a shit? oh right sorry you must be looking for this type of blog then. for everyone else, thats two of you (hi mum, hi dad). today i stole a bike (hi bec!) and i'm going to get it fixed once i work out who will do that for free (hi credit card!). the fact is i'm not actually getting a gut, no seriously. i always knew this would happen and it's played out pretty much exactly as i expected. I was thinking 28 but close enough. that's right kids, i'm now a skinny man with a little pork belly that HAS to go. so it's riding to work and back (30mins on the bike all up) plus 1 night a week indoor rock climbing or maybe capoeira depending on the type of people i want to meet (cool alternative wantabe's or alternative cool wantabe's). i think this ride to work plan has about a 50% chance of success. they way i look at it key factors for completion will be;
1) chance of finding a route to work that doesn't involve stressing that i'm going to be hit by any number of psyhco sydney car driving nuters (like myself) or just becoming a perminate feature on a poster on the back of a bus
2) "change of late rain followed by thunderstorms"
3) level of sweatage and generally up keep required to maintain jeans and a t to work everyday lifestyle (nico says, say no... to lyrca)
4) skill level of riding after friday afternoon drinks
the path to work will be mostly downhill which is good... not to sure about home but :) a mountain bike will fit in a cab no worries right?
