Josh Pyke seems to have hit all of my nerves in the right way with his 2007 release 'Memories and Dust'. He captures and then releases in a beautiful melodic and lyrical form those moments you experience in life, of being in love riding the wave of contentment and on the flip side those moments where you look back and hope for a return of something you lost. Yet in this lose he gives you a lyrically timeless sense that no matter the ups and downs of an intimate life of people and places, of those ships of happiness and blue that pass by us all, you have gained the joy of a world filled with possibility and love. Such a emphatically honest and heartfelt release.
