The Berkun Blog as always hit it on the head. my company it currently attempting to use the Agile methodology for software development, which on paper makes sense but in reality it's really hard to work in that environment as a tester. like XP and other Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies actually... however it must be said that I've worked in much more ad-hoc environments when it comes to development and product delivery. there are many things I can also do in my current environment to improve how we do what we do... and I have many grand plans to fix things. ok enough crapping on, my picks from the blog are;
MWP and I had our 4 year anno weekend away which was lovely. back to berry and the yurt. since our last visit ruby the cow has new friends!

pedro seems to consider the role of guard... at one point as we entered the field he charged us. was funny to watch mwp freak... i guess she had good reason to stop doing ag economics :p pedro it seemed could tell that mpw was wearing a 100% wollen wrap. he was doing it for his homies.
our family of ducks who would spend they day and sometime the night in our little dam in front of the yurt
the next door neighbours and there freaky deeky llamas!

poor MWP was (and still is) sick all weekend but we still managed to have lovely food and good company. i took leila to the very very classy "fat-land" just outside the gong. it can only be described as americanna heaven. in fact it is the only place i know that has a kfc, maccas, red roster, subway and chillies.. PLUS a drive through ATM. aaahahahaha bogans must love it big time. so after our very special evening at chilis in cheezesticks heaven, how could mwp hope to follow that up. well by hanging out with more bogans but this time at a LOVELY winery called The Silos. The food was made of awesome and the wine was pretty damn good too.
Asshole Driven development (ADD) - Any team where the biggest jerk makes all the big decisions is asshole driven development. All wisdom, logic or process goes out the window when Mr. Asshole is in the room, doing whatever idiotic, selfish thing he thinks is best. There may rules and processes, but Mr. A breaks them and people follow anyway.In non work related news i've really have to get of my butt a la Europe. by this week I'll have a nasty excel spreadsheet so people known where i am and when. also need to find a good place in Amsterdam for 2 nights, all the B&B's ave a min 3 night stay... tight ass dutch bastards :) in other news, i finally say hello to the fellow dutchman at work (who isn't a bastard) which was very refreshing. seems like a nice guy.
