sitting in the computer room on the weekend, the sun coming in through the windows i swivelled around to see a lizard sunning itself on the wood floor. it kinda looked at me like, "what are you looking at... nothing to see here... beside, i do this all the time, you've never bother to look behind you. i know your issues with midget p0rn!" They are know to come inside our back door due to a sizeable gap. it had been damp and cloudy all day so he/she was not obviously up to speed yet, needed a few more minutes in the sun. as i got up he/she attempted to get away... slowly. in any case he kinda gave up and just sat there going "well i'm too buggered to move, so lets just hope for the best." It was his/her lucky day, i tip towed past... open the back door, went and had a cup of tea and watch from the kitch as he/she gradually slothed it's way to the door and onto the back stairs. sure enough it sunned itself for a bit, then as if to say, "i still got the moves, i was just bluffing you fool" did a flying leap into a crack in the sand stone disappearing from sight. the following lessons were learned from this experience.
btw the lizard has been named 'Neil Postman'. go the neil!
- assume you are being watch at all times, particularly when using the internet at work
- see, sometimes it is best to play dead
- with risk comes great reward (no die'n) and great failure (crap, i'm not warm enough to move!)
- don't worry about big things, it'll be right
- if you look like you stuffed up, do something extra special post the fact to make it look like it was all part of your plan.
